New IM heatshield gaskets
http://www.daytonimports.com/heat.htm
Just saw this on Honda-Queer...it's much cheaper than the Hondata gaskets but looks the same. I wish I hadnt bought one of the Hondata one's a month or so ago. :-\ What do you guys think? |
Re:New IM heatshield gaskets
Hmmm, very interesting. How much do the H-data ones go for anyway Chris?

Re:New IM heatshield gaskets
Groundzero here in portland has been cutting their own out of some special material similar to hondata's but apparently its a little harder material, and they have been dyno testing them with supposed good results.

Re:New IM heatshield gaskets
Damnit I just bought the Hondata one for almost twice that much.

Re:New IM heatshield gaskets
haha i love their pictures those are great. like they really make me want to buy it since they photoshoped the picture red, then blue lol ::)
but maybe their product really works who knows |
Re:New IM heatshield gaskets
Well I would think that it would work. All you have to do is keep the metal from touching each other. Keeps the heat from transfering to the intake and preheating the intake. Would you think that bmc could get something like that and cut out real fast. It would have be real heat resistent and not melt.

If someone gets this...please let us know the quality. |
Re:New IM heatshield gaskets
someone on here was gonna make one i think ???
stealthmode knew him, i think. |
Re:New IM heatshield gaskets
I was under the impression that if you only used something from the intake manifold to the head, you are still getting alot of heat from the throttle body to the IM. There really needs to be a gasket for both to get most benefit. Not a bad price for one though.
Does anyone know what material they use to make these? Any of our friends with CNC skills/equipment could rip these off pretty easily. |
