so after a year of saving all my spare change, the dirrty d is all done. so heres the setup... D16 z6, garret .42/.48 T3, audi wastegate (mine was 5psi after all) Hogged out hf manifold, mkIII supra 440cc inj, chipped 28 sportin uberdata, jrc 8" IC, 1g DSM BOV, and the other usual ---- that goes along with the project. *Newest member of the HMT NE crew* If anyone wants to come lend a wideband this week, i'd love to tune it. you will be rewarded with an HMT thong. on to the pics!!!

Vey nice set up, everything looks like it went together good. Welds are verty nice especially the hmt downpipe! overall awsome set up man ;)

if i had a closer pic of them you'd change your mind. ;) yeah we put it together in about three days, but were fortunate enough to be working in an air conditioned shop with a lift. Dont flame me for a rich boy, my dad teaches auto tech at camden county college and i was able to use the facilities while no classes were going on.

from looking at your setup i wouldn't say your a rich boy :P :P hehe jk man. awesome hmt job. who did the cast welding on the manifold? it looks like it was done VERY well. are you planning on making a dump tube for the wastegate? your bay is gonna get reaally dirty really fast without it.

other than that it looks awesome bro! ;)

yeah, im making the dump pipe and the rest of the exhaust now... my buddy actually did the cast welding (he thinks its cast steel???) so he just mig welded it. came out fine and hasn't broken yet. its pretty ------- strong. thanx alot

trust me, i bought it for a reason. i got a y7 block in my shed that im gonna build the ---- out of over the winter. my engine has 160k on it right now so i dont really plan on beating the ---- out of it. 10psi untill then... finished the exhaust tonight.. still no muffler but it runs a hell of alot better then just running a downpipe. it somewhat tuned itself by having the full exhaust on. part throttle is smooth as ---- and i can give it full throttle to redline without it breaking up anymore. i think i'll be turning up the boost tomorrow in preperation for friday night street races in philly. hopefully some of you NE guys will recognize the whip

yep, if it wansnt for this site.. id have a poor piece of ---- turbo setup. its actually good that it took me so long to save up for the whole thing, i was planning on using an afc in the beginning because i dont know DICK about computers. but by the time i got all the parts, i figured out uber is actually easier and cheaper than the hack. HMT OWNS MY ASS TOO!!!

i actually used a die grinder with a cut off wheel.. if you get closer its a little rough, but it looks ok. thanx for all your positave feedback.

put a load-bearing support on that wastegate. I'd hate for you to hit a bump and it breaks the weld. Looks great man!

its been doing fine so far, its a cast steel weld el. Like .25" wall thickness. The welder that did that (not the same guy that welded the chargepipes, obviously) said it shouldnt need a support. Plus, the other end is already resting on the rad shrowd ;)

looks ------ clean. that intercooler is sex. the more turbo'd sols, the better. hopefully the first thing that comes to peoples minds won't be "chick's car" when they heare del sol some day. :P

*update*

me and my buddy tuned it with his lm-1 just a few hours ago. Wow, this thing is an absolute rocket. we added a shitload of timing to the off boost and most of the boost portion of the map (0-5lbs), the response the car has is amazing. it is now slipping the clutchmasters stage II that i put in less than 2000mi ago. And once it goes past 5psi in second gear or so, the weight transferr to the rear wheels makes you feel like your doing a wheelie. 12psi is ------- hauling ass.. going to the track tonight to find out what she can do!!!
