Default new here, some questions and ramble

ok, first off hello to all. ive been lurking here for a little while doing some research and still have a few questions.

for the past two years ive been racing a mildly built b18c1 2000lb hatch back in solo2 and using it for track days/ hpde's. i sold the complete set up this past fall with plans of setting the car up for honda challenge H4 and scca ITA. then reality bit me on the actual costs of w2w racing and that i cant afford it until i graduate and get a descent job.

so anyways, here i am now. i am planning to do a stock z6 motor with a small turbo. i want it to spool pretty fast since the car is mainly used for autox and a lot of the time is spent below 5k in second gear. high 2k's to really low 3k's would work out fine. but at the same time im not looking for something that is going to choke and die out by 6k. drag racing is not really a big concern, but at the same time ill most likely hit the stip once or twice if i get the chance. ive been looking at the t3 .42/.48 and the 14b. but then again my friend has a t25 off a sr20 that i could use also. what do you guys suggest?

for management ill be running dsm 450's ( is it blue tops i need for obd1?) on the hack since i already have it wired into my car. my frined has a wideband with datalogging so ill be tuning it on that. and ill also be running some type of oil cooler since i plan on doing some track days with it still. any suggestions of something cheap but effective?

has anyone here gone from a gsr with type r tranny then to a sohc turbo? if so what are your thoughts. although the lack of tq, the car was pretty quick and was good for mid-high 13's @97-98 at the strip. this is in my very weight reduced hatch. i think with a d series turbo it will be about 1950 or so without me. on 9-10 psi with a conservative tune sould i expect it to be at least as quick as the old setup? i know it will make more mid range ( which is really what i care about most) but should it be as quick in the 1/4?

ok im sure ill think of more questions, but for now that is all. thanks in advance to any and all who can help out and give advice, opinions.
Jer.

ok, i can use either a sr20 t25 for dirt cheap or a mitsu te04h ( not even sure what this is off but its similar size to the t25) for free. if i want a 14b or a t3 im going to have to find one. although the plus side of a t3 is i have a pretty nice log mani with a t3 flange that i can get off a friend for next to nothing.

anyone know about this te04h thing?
