New to the board, eed help !
 

whats up, i have been reading through some old posts and alot of you guys know your stuff about fi. So i have a few questions. I am new to this forum i usually post on automotiveforums.com .

This is what i am working with,
90 civic hatch with
95 b18b
arizona racing billet and urathane mounts
8lb flywheel
new crank (balanced)
eagle h-beam rods (balanced)
srp/je pistions 10.5:1 (balanced)
arp head studs
bores .20 over
All motor best 1/4 14.33 (95 deg at nopi nats)

Just installed HMT kit this where i need the help!
SSautochrome equal lenght header
te04h turbo (rebuilt)
tial style wastegate (8psi spring)
FMI (10h x 3d x 29L)
custom bent intercooler piping and down pipe (professionaly done)
turbo xs BOV
golden eagle filter sandwich for oil feed (6an feed line)
oil return 10an

thts what i have. And the problem is when i ran it with my other te04h (not the rebuilt one) it smoked like a bitch, so i figured it was leaking past the seals so i need a rebuild. Instead i bought a already rebuilt one for 200.
Installed it and it still smoke ??? So my brother found your web site (thank god) and we had been debating on the oil pressure problem because i have a gsr oil pump which puts out 75 psi. And i also have my oil drain taped into the bottome of the pan ;D. So got some new parts to adjust the oil and relocate the oil return. So now the oil pressure is 35psi , and the oil retun is all the way at top of the pan . And guess what it still smokes :-\. What to do do i need to run thicker oil? i am using 10-30. Also how so i install the check valves to fool the map sensor, i am asumming i need 2 valves.

Nice setup.

What color smoke is it? What are you using for fuel management? I hope you didn't already do damage to the oil seals. :-\

Im running and Fmu with 12:1 . Its blueish with a little smell of oil not much it doesnt really smell burnt . It collects some oil in the tail pipe but not as much as before. Could it just be burning off the old oil. It doesnt smoke when im on the gas just at idle and when i decelerate.

Could be. You might want to give it a little time to burn it off. How long since you fixed the oil feed/return problem? Also, how fresh is the build on the motor? Is it completly broken in?

the motor has 1,200 miles on it. its broken in never smoked at all. I fixed my oil return and drove it about 12 miles. do you think i just need to drive it for a week and see if it burns off. And should i try thicker oil.

I wouldn't try the thicker oil. Give it some time to burn the oil out and you SHOULD be fine.
