Never had an Intro... 56K No way!
Well, I wish this was a build thread. Wish I would have taken pictures from day 1, but Im not the photographer type, and I dont even have a camera. So Ive gotten a few shots from now. And a few from along the way...
When I got the car it was this faded red/maroon, was on 13" steelies, had Del Sol seats that didnt bolt into the 89 bolt pattern, had cut springs, and the DOHC ZC ran like ***. Car ran a 18 second 1/4 mile. Later found out that the AEM exhaust cam gear was set to 0, but needed to be off about 1 tooth. So we did a valve adjustment, and set the timing to TDC.
So when I first picked it up, I stripped out the interior (back seat was bent up), found a cheap 50 dollar Recaro, and painted the car white with Krylon Satin. Then I went ahead and found a set of SIs and used Azenis for it... It also came with a PG7, and a P29, but the P29 was in the hatch. So I bought a TD43U, made my own ECU and Dizzy jumper harness, and had it running on OBD1. Got an eBay CAI to replace the 6 inch elbow with a filter. Car was now running 16.8s on Skunk Works coil overs and blown struts with shitty motor mounts.
I since have gotten rid of the CF hood, traded for a CF ZC hood that was faded, and 100 bucks. Then painted the ZC hood, cus I hate flashy CF ----. Im just not that JDM.
Of course I was bored with 16.8s, even though the car got 40-45 mpg... And I needed to get this, or the 78 Malibu running 12's for Pinks: ALL OUT. So I started piecing ---- together. I bought en eGay tubular manifold, Nissan T3 .60/.63, and Tial knock-off 38mm for 160 shipped off of here... Bought a 2.25 piping kit from Just-Intercoolers on eGay for 110 shipped. Found a set of DSM blue tops for 50 bucks on Craigslist. A buddy of mine donated an Evo MR intercooler, and a SSQ knock-off BOV. I stole my buddy's stock WRX exhaust for a DP. Window Weld motor mounts, etc, etc.
I still had to figure out what I was going to do about tuning and the map sensor, so I put up an ad on Craigslist for the map. I got a text from someone offering me an overpriced Motorola 2.5, and when I declined, he said I could go through Xenocron... Little more bull shitting, and came to find out that he was a member on HMT, and had an H22 powered Del Sol sleeper that I had seen at the track. He had remembered me from the track, and I remembered his threads on here. He offered to tune my car on CromePro, and let me borrow the map sensor...
So I got everything together, Carlos tuned my ---- for free, 15psi, stock block, 100 octane unleaded (stock fuel pump), let me borrow his slicks, and we ran Pinks... Only thing that sucks, is I had never driven a turbo car at the strip, so I couldnt get a good launch, and my clutch wasnt holding. First pass I bogged hard off the line, took till 5k to hit full boost (manifold leaks), and I still went a 14.6 @ 104 with a 2.6 60'. So the next pass, I preloaded better, built more boost, car launched hard, ran great... But it was the gay arm drop pass, where they turn off the boards and dont have out time slips. Pretty sure it was a twelve, but I wouldnt know.
Since then, I had to get a new manifold, because that lame *** tubular ---- cracked 3 different times, all four runners. Went with the eBay cast, cus Im such a broke bitch. Got a vacuum manifold, boost gauge, blah blah blah. Retuned it on the dyno, put down 217whp. Car ran 13.6 and a 13.7 @ 102.
Recently my clutch went out, I had a ---- load of problems getting a new one in there (89 tranny and flywheel, no cash, blah blah blah). So while it was down, I decided to relocate the battery behind the passenger seat, and did a slight wire tuck. Finally, a buddy donated me an F1 stage 3 6 puck, and a 90-91 flywheel, and we got it in there.
Heres how the car is sitting now. Oh, also, somewhere in the recent ----, I traded the SI wheels for HXs.
I know, I need rippers, Ill try and get some later.
Yea, the car is in the F/S section, more of a testing waters thread. I wanna keep it, but Im broke as ----, and got no paychecks coming in...
I know the ------ rules, Im trying to get the good ---- up... Gimme a second...

Haha. Thanks. Yea, car will hopefully stick around, and Ill see what I can do with it before the next season. But its a bitch trying to find work right now...
Hoping to at least redo the suspension with progress drag coilovers, a traction bar, and some slicks. Also hoping to get a wideband, ECTune, 1000cc's, and retune on E85... That should hold me over until I can get some Eagle, Wiseco action going on... If I had a steady job this whole winter, I would be shooting for 10s, street driven. But having no paycheck is a bitch.
As far as the girl in the video, thats my new lady. No pics of her really, but well see what we can do down the road.

Thanks guys... For now Im keeping the manifold... I went with the cheap *** eBay one to get it done, cracked the ---- out of it, and decided I never want to go that route again. So I bought a cast manifold. Yea, the boost creeps cus of it, but it creeps consistently to high 9s, everytime. So I dont really mind it. When I do decide to, Ill probably look at getting a mini ram from eville...
