So you would need another piece of oil line and more connectors. That sucks. Unless your oil lines are super ghetto and just hose clamped on. Then it would be no problem. :-X

I have another monkey wrench to throw at this before I submit.

The oil still has the ability to go back through the fitting back to the motor, which would not really mean that its trapped at the gauge. Plus, if you completely close the valve, the gauge won't see any pressure. Now, open it just a tad, and I'm thinking that the pressure you would see will be less than the wide open position.
----, I don't know. I just sent that first one out to Shawn today too. So I don't even have it here anymore. :P
We need to get to the bottom of this though. I can't say that my method would give you a "true" reading, but I think you could get close. (I have to hold my ground until I find out for sure) :D

yes, the oil can flow backwards, but not until the pressure is equal on both ends...meaning it wouldnt matter unless it can flow away from the pressure.

dr. slap-nuts - it shouldnt be hard at all to add a tee and gauge after the fitting. if you use stealthes, then use all 1/8"NPT tee and male-male connectors... i drew up quick diagram for ya, might help ya... just remember, the gauge has to be between the valve and the turbo to read the oil supply line pressure properly. so id say since the valve is 1/8" npt, hook the tee directly after it to eliminate extra line and bullshit and all.

If the oil can flow backwards thru the feed line, your engine is turned off or toasted, or your line came off. If you T it, I think it will work. It would be essentially the same as the T at the head where your stock oil pressure sensor is.

nope, its not the same as tee'ing before it at the sender. if you tee there, that will show you the oil pressure of the engine, but with the valve in place, you also want to tee after it to get a reading of what the pressure is after that valve since the valve will be decreasing pressure.
