Default need wastegate help! (pics)

this was taken off a turbo Desiel Volvo I6 motor











this is a wastegate right? anyone know what psi these are set at anyother info?? thanks

yeah, i would say that is a wastegate.
try the old compressor trick to see when it opens.

btw this came off a car, Volvo 240 or something. it HAS A VW/AUDI motor in it. i was standing there talking with 3 VW guys talking about it, they said it was and it has the VW/Audi marks on the engine...

i had the gasket with me ealier and showed it to someone and he said it did look pretty close to a Delta/TiAL flange/gasket.

what compressor trick?

well it was 200bucks cheaper than a delta :P some brake cleaner, wire brush and some high temp paint will make it....well a sexy homo hahaha

Nice, Id use it for sure. (needs a serious douching)
Id see if you can take the 'actuator' apart to see if you can get to the spring; hopefully you can cut it down to get your desired base boost level.
Being a diesel, it might be a tad high.
