ok im peiceing together a kit for my 98 civic dx. It has a d16y7 sohc non vtec motor and i have a td05 18g greddy turbo. some people say put it on and deal with the turbo lag and others say sell it or trade it for a smaller one. does anyone here know when this turbo would actually start to build boost, if it was around like 3500 rpms i would prolly keep it but anymore then im prolly gonna sell it

 

I'm not really completely sure but I would say that you're going to be way dissapointed in it. Your tiny block doesn't have the oomph to use that turbo's full potential.

 

hmmmm wouldn' know it will start spooling ealier, but full boost I woulds say a bit later.
If you had a SOHC VTEC head then it would be at full boost quicker and 18G would be my choice to use though...It ain't that big.
