Need a PCB burner?

I just found out that there is a machine that "burns" or makes PCBs at my school, apparently the electrical eng. or whatever depeartment uses it for students and I'm gonna see if I can get access to it(even though I'm a physics major)...

just wondering if this would be useful to anyone? Cause I really don't know what to do with it but i see 'pcb' on a few posts every once in a while.

PCB is an acronym for Printed Circuit Board. That's the fiberglass board with all the copper traces used in pretty much any electronic devices. (Motherboards, ECUS, Burners, etc.) the biggest use those of us around here would have would be to make pcb's for EPROM burners. Find of what file format the machine uses; most will take gerber format files.

I use the toner transfer method with a modified aquarium filled with sodium persulfate to do the etching. It works ok. Drilling the holes is the hard part. I need to get the drill press deal for my dremmel.
