ok, so i need some opinion, some fact...

i bought a 280z t3 .60/.63 off of here... the shaft seems a bit restricted, but i dont have any oil in it. hoping that would free it up a little... it also seems that the four bolts holding the center housing to the cold side are a bit stripped. i got them in, but they ALL went in really hard. there is no in and out shaft play, slight side to side. also, we all know it has the fucked up 7 bolt exhaust/dp housing. it came with the stock one that has the flapper in it, so i could always weld to that though.

i also bought a volvo t3, i believe .42/.48. this shaft has slight in and out and slight side to side, but it doesnt hit the housing as far as i can tell. just got it in the mail, so i havent taken it apart. this has the fucked up recessed circle on the inlet flange, but has a normal 5 bolt for my 5 bolt flange that i already have.

so my dilemma, which one i am running a dohc zc motor. i want to try and push around 250, so im thinking anywhere from 12-15 psi is needed, and all the way through the rpm range. i dont have time for rebuild on either one, but if one blows up, i just need it to last for a week. till pinks is done. hopefully the motor lasts that long too, but i will be running the wg spring anytime other than the track, so i hope.

i would obviously rather run the nissan t3, but im afraid that it wont spool very well. when i shot air from a compressor at it (to clean the fins) it spun. i obviously didnt keep the air on it to try and test it like that, but it did spool. is oil going to help this piece of ---- out? or how much boost, and through what rpm do you think this volvo t3 will make boost without falling on its face? this is a stock zc, stock compression and internals.

sorry for the novels. just wanted to be precise on what i have, and what i need. didnt just want to leave it with the title "volvo or 280z on zc?" lol.
