Need to know some question

Hi everyone,

I finally finish my project and gonna post some pics.

But now, i want to know something.

What can kill an Turbo engine.

I always think that was the heat but someone told me that is the detonation who kill a turbo engine.

So someone can told me who was right.

thanks

Re:Need to know some question

yes i know that, all the motor can blow with a lack of oil.

Like Jeff on their setup, some of them blow. How does it blow??

It is because he run to hot or because of detonation?

Re:Need to know some question

Running Hot (hot charged air) makes it easier for detonation. This is what kills the engines.. Lack of fuel/spark management and people will also not have setups tuned correctly will blow them up.

Re:Need to know some question

ok so it's detonation who kill engine. lack of fuel and hot charged air will make detonation.

so i only need to check my timming and run with colder spark plugs?

Re:Need to know some question

heh, no its not that simple.. You need more fuel too dude, at the bare minium a FMU (rising rate regulator) fuel cools the burn down = less chance of detonation.

Re:Need to know some question

yeah and more fuel it's sure :)

no it's because i run my car for 1 week now and i really the felling of the boost but and don't want to blow up the engine.

So i check to be sure what can kill my engine.

So i will check all this but just to be sure, i will go on the dyno with a wideband to be REALLy sure of my setup..

And i just want to thank you jeff for all the support you gave me with answering all my question for my setup.

I really appreciated.

If you want i can send you some pics?
