Need to know if my turbo is good
Hi,
Recently, i think my turbo have some problem.
This winter when i was testing it, i had no problem to get my 8 psi, but now this summer, i only have 5 psi and maybe i have some problem to get it. Sometimes, i need to push the gaz really hard to have it.
So now the turbo is install and i would like to know if the turbo is correct without remove it.

Are you asking us if your turbo is bad? or if you can just take out the center section without taking the rest of the turbo setup off?
Sounds like you may have developed a leak in your charge pipes.. do a basic check of everything before you condem the turbo.

yeah,
I do a check.
i plug my boost gauge on the wastegate and i have 7 psi.
so the turbo is ok but i found some oil in the charge pipe.
So it's the charge pipe.
I check twice and the only leak i have was repair and i still can't have more than 5 psi.

Is your crankcase vented into your turbo's intake? if so thats probably the source of the oil...since you say there is not that much. Do you hear any loud whooshing noises when your trying to boost? like a leak in a charge pipe? it could even be at the TB or intake manifold....
