Hey there I'm the new guy and this site friggin rules. Its been awhile since I've been on HMT (was computerless)and what a relief to see its still here. I currently own a 1990 Mazda MX6 GT which I've increased to 10psi in all gears. I let my g-friend drive it and now she has caught the boost. She has a 1993 civic hb with a 1994 b18b. I have a T25 off of a 1998 Talon. I was thinking of doing the 450cc hack, adj. fuel press. reg. with fmu or v-afc hack, Talon intrclr. Is it still possible to get a missing link. I would like to run about 8psi and be reliable (her car). Any info on a good setup would be much appreciated.It will give me something to do over the winter

well first off, thats cool to hear that your girlfriend drives a hatch with an ls swap and is interested in turboing her ride!! good pick! ;) I would say the T25 is to small in my opinion for a 1.8 dohc! i would at least go with the 14b. if you're gonna use the 450's then you need the AFC. if you are going to run the t25, it will spool fast and you may just be able to use the fmu for 8psi... yes they do make the missing link for your car, just go to the synapeseengineering.com website

Agreed, I think thats very cool your gf has a swap in her hatch! does she have a sister ;)

As Greddy said, the T25 is going to spool up like a mother fucker on that B18, traction issues up the but, and will probably not pull to to hard on the top end, but since the LS doesnt rev to the sky like B16's you will probably be fine. I would definatly go with the AFC/450 hack. Good luck and post some pics of the setup & gf ;D

Again I'm sorry for such a late reply, I've been really busy working on my enduro car (81' chev wagon) And sorry AbaZ, no sister. I'm going to have to go with the T25 since I already have it. My friend bought his Talon new in 98 and did a turbo swap right away so turbo is mint shape.Whats the difference between a s-afc & v-afc hack. I appologize if this is a dumb ass question. What kind of boost is the T25 capable of. I also need to make the car faster since I installed 95' gsr wheels and everybody wants to race. Currently the car has tokico's with ajustable coilovers,SIR upper strut brace, el-cheapo rear lower, AEM short shift, homemade cold air intake(1 piece mandrel bent), 4to1 header with custom 1 piece cat back exhuast with Sk bottle and no muffler. The VAFC does the same thing except it also allows you to change vtec engagement and disengagement points. There isn't much reason to do this, so save money and get SAFC. Especially with Gen 2. Gen 2 SAFC incorperates Knock Monitoring and Dual Maps (good if you incorperate a MBC and run two boost levels), but the gen2 VAFC doesn't have either feature. It sucks.
