Experiment nub. Turn it a little one way then go the other way just to make sure.

i didnt mount the turbo yet and i dont have a compressor to hook my wastegate up.

if the rod gets longer does that mean its more boost . (visa versa)

The turbo I'm using has a similar waste gate setup.

If I shorten the rod, (turn it in), the boost for me goes up. If I make the rod longer, (go out) boost drops.

even that perfect chicks with the banana knows that changing the lenght of the wastegate rod is NOT a good way to adjust boost. This adjustment is ONLY for setting the right amount of preload on the flapper. if it's loose, you'll get boost leak and mushy operation, if it's too tight, the flapper no longer opens sufficiently, making the boost increase yes, but also spike like crazy.

To increase boost, you really need to use a manual boost controller or install any SPRING that is forcing the flapper closed, making the wastegate actuate the flapper at a higher boost pressure.

basically, do it right, man.

exactly just get it so its snuged up and make sure its running the amount of boost the acutator is made for then get a boost controler. Trust me you will be happier with the way it boosts and how much smoother and efficient it feels.

sorry this is HMT, the correct method is the carb spring wastegate mod. infinitely adjustable boost, and its easy to adjust!

You can make your own MBC for $2.40 or you can buy one off ebay for $10 shipped. There is a link on this site showing how to build the homemade mbc. Please tell me that you have $2.40 to spend on raising your boost pressure correctly.
