Default Need Help with Turbocharging a toyota 1zzfe

I was wondering if anyone here had any idas on how i would beable to put together a turbo for a 2000 toyota celica 1zzfe. I have a lot of questions, such as what would a good kit, indepth disscussion on how to put the kit together, and thoughts on whither i should even turbocharge the 1zzfe or go more conventional with toyotas TRD supercharger or Blitz compressor. I am currently working with a performance shop and i haveing trouble with the cost of what they want to charge and personally i belive to really understand your car you should work on it yourself. I am really intrested on charging my car the "right" way and i would love any kind of help or suggestions. Thanks very much.

For that motor, here is what I'd do.

Get a custom log manifold from JGStools.com, then go about it the same way as you do any other car. Read the stick in the forced induction forum. Your fuel management will consist of dsm 450's, an SAFC and an MSD BTM. If you want, you can go w/ a greddy emanage, or an Apex'i power fc. Your choice. If you have any more questions, PM me.

its not the fact i bought the wrong clutch. its the fact of how the ------- thing is designed.

if you work on a honda ...then work on a toyota, you will understand why i hate toyotas.
why the hell should I have to rip out the entire front cross member, front sway bar, rightside suspension, drop the motor to change the tranny? i ------- hate it. BTW, $1500 and its yours.

sport compact car had a turbo mr2 project, done by xs engineering. turboing a car is turboing a car, just that fuel managment is not as cheap as with honduhs and parts are usually one off.

seems they make a cast iron mani, $350 is a rip off, but short of a custom tubular that'd be your only choice.
