Need help for Starion FMIC

O.K I got a Starion FMIC but it still has the stock end tank inlets and outlets. I've tried everyone and everywhere in my area and no one can help me re-weld them. I'm great with tools and fixing cars but I can't weld to save my life especially aluminium. Everywhere I go ( i.e. machine shops , and performance shops ) either they say they can't do it cause it's alumin. , they're affraid they'll mess it up , or the want to charge me three times what I paid for the dang thing ( A performance shop qouted me $350 )F**** that. Some people said try a radiator shop but I'mnot so sure about that and I'd like to have some one do it that has done it before. Does anyone here on this site know of someone on this site that if I mail/send them my FMIC they'll re-weld the end tanks for me ( for a price of course ) thanks.

thats your problem dont go to a performance shop, just call a bunch of places and ask if the do aluminum dont come right out and tell them you need the end tanks on your starion rewelded, just ask if they do custom aluminum ----, then bring it down there and get a quote...

a agree. Ask if the can do alum. then ask about how much it will be. Tell them that your price shopping. It always help me get the price lower.

If you need help geting it welded I can do it for you. Something like relocating the inlet and outlet should be a breeze, no more than $50 or so, plus shipping of course. I do aluminum all the time, unless the starion end tanks are thinner than 1/6" its no problem.Email me at custocach@comcast.net if you are interested.
