need help on intercooler piping.

i search and nothing came up but greedy, hks intercooler kit even here on "hmt". i'm looking for 2.5" intercooler piping and want to know how many pipe and what kind of bent pipe do i need. i know i will be cutting the pipe too. the reason why i started this post was because i didn't want to buy one of those pipe and have some pipe left over and some missing pipe. oh and how is the 2.5" pipe going to fit the outlet of the 14b because it's onlyy 2" like that.

Ugh

2.5" is fine

https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=72836.0

click here, intercooler piping kit = $95, cheapest you'll find

for the outlet get a reducer from home depot, put the smaller edge on the outlet and then have it regularly connect to the piping.

run the 2" to one side of the IC and then 2.5 from the IC to the TB. Geesh ---- ain't rocket science bro.

Re: need help on intercooler piping.

can i just get those silicone reducer that is 2.5" to 2.0" so i can just connect the 2.5" pipe on the 2.0" outlet turbo. wouldn't that work or do it only work with those pipe reducer.

Like stillnoturbo said, this ain't rocket science. I think you are making it out to be more complicated than it really is. ???

As long as the ---- gets connected one way or another you're in good shape. :y

but the both intercoole outlet is 2.5" so i can't use a 2.0" unless i cut one end out and weld a 2.0 outlet on.

make it fit. This is HMT. If you have a 2.0 and need to get it to 2.5, you can either use a silicon transition or a steel transition.... no fairy dust involved. pretty simple.

Get one of these, it'll teach you a lot

i think you actually got a decent answer...if the pipe is the wrong size, you need some sort of transition/adapter, either made of pipe or in the form of a coupler that will connect the two. intercooler piping is an easy concept, just connect everything

Did your mother have any kids that lived?? They have couplings, one end has a 2" opening the other is 2.5", it's called a transition coupling or reducer... :S

Re: need help on intercooler piping.

I've got 2.5" piping on my car ..

what I used was 4 mandrel bends, 180 degree each .. and then did some cutting and welding. The turbo outlet is 2", so I used a reducer coupler to go to 2.5" pipe.
