Need help with fmu fuel line please
Hey guys,
I installed a basic bolt on turbo kit onto my b20 integra. I'm running a 12:1 blox fmu at the moment. I do have a chipped ecu that I'll get tuned. But this is just a temporary solution and I don't beat the car long or hold it under boost for very long. I'm only running 5psi at the moment. My question is I keep running into an issue with the fuel line that goes from my fpr to my fmu. I installed a line I had that came with my adjustable fpr (not installed) which had a stamp for 3.4 bar. This started to weaken after a few drives and I noticed by some backfiring and fuel smell. So this was clearly leaking pressure. I went to the auto parts store and picked up a line rated for 6.9bar (100psi or so I think) And just now it started doing it again, the car starts running super rich and I can see the line being over flexed and such. Stock fuel pressure is 35psi I believe. I'm trying to do the math in my head and I can't seem to wrap my head around the calculation to determine the pressure it's holding when under 5psi. In any event. What do I do about sourcing a line with enough pressure to hold this? It'll be another month or so before I source my injectors and fuel pump and have the funds to throw it on a dyno. I just get worried about it running so damn rich. Thanks for the help guys. I searched and couldn't find much |

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on it? If not, I'd add one and see what's going on.

That's your best bet. An fmu is not a tune. Your running 60 psi above your stock fuel pressure at 5 psi boost. That is damaging to your fuel system.
