Need help deciding SC61 or GT35??

Ive came across 2 pretty good deals. Im going for one of the 2 this weekend. My goal before its all said & done is around 600whp. Id like to aim for 500hp as she sits or close to it. Im just lacking the turbo, so im ditching the 57trim.

Im debating between an

GT3561e T3/T4 for 550 or SC61 for 600. Which is the better turbo of the 2 IYO?

If your don't have a build engine for the power those turbos put out at max efficiency, both will suffice....!

Neither. You havent told us your setup, you engine, your budget, etc. etc.

Do not waste your time or money on a ball bearing turbo.

HX35 FTMFW! :6

Neither of these turbos are ballbearing. I have a fully built GSR, that not my concern, Im just mearly in the market to upgrade turbo for around $600 & Ive found 2 local for 600 or less.

My bad, I read thru too fast and all I saw was GT. Gt3561e is one of those "Precision GT" turbos. Either way....

you can do a hybrid hx35/hx40 with the 12^2 turbine from hx35 and the comp from the hx40 spool on your motor will be about 4k

sc61 get my vote out of "your two"

Re: Need help deciding SC61 or GT35??

The non balbearing GT35 and the sc61 are almost identical eccept the GT turbine wheel in the GT35 and the T3 wheel in the sc61.

I say go with the GT35 the newer turbine design makes more power and is more efficient.

I have a sc61 equivalent turbo, only its innovative turbo GT3561E.

save some money and go with the sc61 which is pretty comparable with the gt35. maybe only 500 rpm spool difference.

So what MODEL sc61. If its a sc6176, youll do 500 on it NO PROBLEM. Personally, thats what id want between the two.. I believe they have the s cover (but im not sure),,, That would be my vote. Comparable covers (both being t04e)... I dont see that there would be a difference between them.
