Default Need help about my oil feed line.

About two years ago my friend installed a oil pressure gauge in my car ( autometer ). Well he said since the line had a standard thread and the back of my old D15 block was metric that it was going to be cross threaded but it wouldn't leak cause he did the same on his del sol and hadn't had a problem. Not really knowing anything about cars back the time I didn't care. Well I blew my old D15 and installed my ZC but I'm not sure if it's cross threaded on the ZC block too even though I still have the same gauge. Here's the thing I'm affriad to take the oil pressure line out cause if it is cross threaded then I'm F***ed and if the threads are screwed up I'm stuck and won't be able to put it back in. I would just re-tap it but wouldn't that put/leave metal shavings inside the blck and that would be bad. I was just going to buy a oil filter block adapter but thats almost $100 extra that I really don't want to spend. So what should I do ? Can I still use the stock oil pressure sensor spot and re-tap it or what ? I could really use some help on this. Also I know this question has been asked 100 times so I'll make it 101 but what fittings and stuff exactly would I need to run the feed line in the stock location. Thanks

Also the fitting itself on the turbo is a -4an fitting.. do I need any kind of adapter to run it from the T at the oil pressure sensor the way they show you in the FAQ section. I can buy pre-made 4ft of SS line for a very decent price with -4an fittings on both ends which is fine for the turbo side but what adapter will I need for the other end that goes to the T at the sensor cause I believe the size on the is 1/8 if I'm not mistaken. Thanks

just take the sensor out. I doubt its crossthreaded. If it is just rig in some 1/8 with some ghettoness added like epoxy or jb weld. The stock sensor fitting is 1/8 british pipe standard.

I'm guessing you have a line running from the block to a Tee where you have your autometer and stock sensor plugged in right? If so, just buy another Tee and a nipple connector. The line from block goes to the first tee, with one sensor on it, and a Nipple to the other Tee. Plug in your other sensor and feed line to the 2 extra ports.
Something like this

No the stock oil pressure sensor is no longer connected since their is no need for it. I know how low my oil is by looking at the PSI and my ZC is not VTec so the oil pressure sensor is not needed. My gauge just takes the place of the dummy light. Thanks though I'll figure out something.

pull it out. If its cross threaded jbweld the sucker on. If its not, use an adapter and run a hose like that picture did.

http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...h&part=prm-186

or you can buy this sandwhich which will allow you to run a line between your oil filter and block.
