Default need help

just a quick question could i weld my adapter plate to the turbo cus it has a leak and i dont know what else to do. its a t25 dsm on a hf manifold

sure you can weld it.
are you running gaskets now and it's leaking?

yeah running a gasket but it seems to be fucked up and i bought the turbo and the adapter plate was already on it from someone on here and it was all fucked to ---- even the wastegate was like hammered in now i got all that ---- fixed just need to figure out if i can weld it on there so it dont leak

torch it, hammer it flat, then rtv or something similar

yeha thats what i was thinking but i was just asking if i could weld the adapter plate to the turbo that all i need to know cus i saw it done in one of the turbo projects so im not sure. this picture is from the turbo projects that adam did on his hatch

how do you think that? ummmm.....room temp metal, not flat, cherry red metal and a sledge pretty close, and with some rtv or a gasket im pretty sure he would be fine.

MiroslavB : my guess is that you dont have an acetylene torch so weld it. just gonna suck when you want to swap out to another turbo or mani

hey thanx alot man i got nothing to worry about taiking it apart and ---- since i will be getting a whole new setup this winter so it dont matter to me just dont want it to leak cus my boost drops to about 5 to 6 pounds when it should be around 11 to 12 so its a preety bad leak and yeah

That will work.You get bonus HMT points for welding turbos to manis etc
