Default Need help with a 454 twin turbo set up pleaseee.

I have a 454 bored .30 over makes around 500. has never been on the dyno to know for sure though. I am looking to build a twin turbo setup for it. But i have ALOT of questions. I was wondering if using turbos off of a duramax diesel was be a good idea. Also Im running a 750 Holley, I know that the carburetor needs to be tweaked for a blow-through setup but can you buy them already built to boost? and If I am running a 750 Holley at about 500hp and plan on running 5-7 psi of boost I am assuming i am going to need a bigger car as in a 850. Some help here would be great. Also do the wastegates and blow off valves differ from a fuel injected turbo system

Thanks Jon

looks like a fun build but i would ditch the carb and bolt on a fuel injection kit. boost and carberators usually end in disaster.

Talk to sd concept engineering. Google it. He's a local guy who specializes in domestic v8's. He can get you going on a boost friendly carb.

Only thing about carbs is on a fi setup you can't do part throttle boost from what I understand

the duramax turbos would be a difficult ammount of mounting and pipeing I recommend the HX35's of of a 94-2002 dodge

hx35's were used on all cummins diesels, there are some variations, depending on the year, so make sure you get tow identical ones. ID get my carb from The Carb Shop, they specialize in boosted carbs. a 750 is plenty. What is your current compression ratio?
