Need estimation of HP being produced, Dyno not avaialable (pics added)
Hey,
My friend just boosted his car and these are his specs: Motor : JDM b16a Compression ratio : 10.4 Turbocharger : Garrett t3 super60 Size : .42 Boost : 7psi BOV : Xs power, type3 Waste gate : External, minimum 5psi Internals : Stock Internals (factory high compression) Fuel : FMU Ignition : MSD Boost control : Boost retard control Exhaust specs : 3 inch free flow (HKS) Manifold : Xs power High flow chrome turbo manifold Differential : Phantom grip LSD Clutch : stage3 ACT performance clutch Its a 96 4door civic lx. his 0-60mph time is just under 6secs( if thats helps u any) and he wants to know if u can give a rough estimate of what kind of Hp/torque he is producing. Since there is no Dyno Avaiable in Pakistan he has to make rough estimations which arent that accurate. But as most of u probally have seen other cars with the same specs u might know more. Even a rough esitmation on the HP he is producing will be fine. He is running his car at 7psi. The ppl who tuned his car say he should be running at around 270HP. Any help would be appreciated (pics will be posted soon) thanks. |

probably in the area of 210-220 whp, but there are too many variables to know for sure

Re: Need estimation of HP being produced, Dyno not avaialable (pics added)
210-225bhp.
In any event he got hard core owned. That thing won't even flow anywhere close to 250 at 7psi. He'd need to be running much closer to 14psi to be putting down 270. |
Re: Need estimation of HP being produced, Dyno not avaialable (pics added)
even though the engine is at 170hp stock it will be only doing around 210-220? that is pretty sad then cause of the amount of money he put into it...

170 is the flywheel hp rating, not at the wheels

lol buy a gtech and enter the cars REAL weight.... it will be pretty close.... otherwise i fail to see a reason that he NEEDS to know his horsepower. like it really makes a difference what the number is... is he happy with the car or not? does he think its fast?

I would guess 225 whp, that is around the 270HP your tuner is guessing, so he is right on. Nice car! |

There's no way he's pushing more than 240-250hp at the crank. |
Re: Need estimation of HP being produced, Dyno not avaialable (pics added)
i'm gonna have to say... 208.5 whp on 7 pounds :8
|
Re: Need estimation of HP being produced, Dyno not avaialable (pics added)
i'm gonna say about 200 whp on 7 psi with an fmu, no tuning = teh suck.....my stock b16 threw down 144 whp, which is pretty good, they're usually about 135 whp stock....

Ah, it has an FMU...
In that case it's soon going to make 0whp because the engine will ------- melt. |
