need advice on d16y7 turbo
I have a built d16y7 with 10:1 compression...
it is converted to OBD1 with chipped po6 ECU my plan is on using a t06 running 6psi with sidemount intercooler for fuel upgrades I want to upgrade from 195cc injectors to 240cc injectors then run uberdata on ecu if there is something more I need to do tell me and if there is something that is not necessary to do like running uberdata... let me know |
Re:need advice on d16y7 turbo
your stock injector's are 240's ;) get some DSM 450's yo!!!!

Re:need advice on d16y7 turbo
the dsm injectors are a cheap upgrade and have high levels of support via uberdata

Re:need advice on d16y7 turbo
Keep your stock injectors and use a FMU if you're just going to be running 6 psi. No need getting anything fancy for so low of a boost level.

Re:need advice on d16y7 turbo
Sure there is. He can retard ignition per pound and smooth his map from end to end with Uberdata. FMU's suck for any level of boost.

Re:need advice on d16y7 turbo
6 psi is no boost at all...you won't feel a thing.
Well I don't feel a thing when someone is boosting 6-7 psi after I boosted 15 psi for 2 month's. I would say from the ass Dyno it begins to feel like Whoa at 10 psi and above ;D |
Re:need advice on d16y7 turbo
I have a few more questions...
I dont really want to wire up a resistor box for low impedence injectors... so here is my new fuel plan... uberdata bin file is made and it will be on my chipped p06 ECU switch to 240cc injectors from y8 or put in RC 370ccs will this be enough? I can get a set of 240's for free but the 370's are 70 bucks let me know if 240's can work... I know I am a tightwad but I will spend the money if NEEDED |
Re:need advice on d16y7 turbo
u already have to foty biatch

Re:need advice on d16y7 turbo
240's are maxed almost in a stock motor. You will certainly need more boosted. If you dont want to add resistors(which is retarded easy) you can buy some RC450's.

Re:need advice on d16y7 turbo
I'd switch to the Y8 intake manifold too, the Y7 IM is a piece of ----.
