narrow or wind band?

My O2 sensor hole is located in the middle of the downpipe is it to far for a regular narrowband? or will i nead to relocate it or use a wideband o2 sensor?

what are you asking? the placement of your O2 bung will not determine if you need a narrow band or wide band O2..

that is determined by what it is used for....

patfraser3 04-14-2009 08:07 PM

ohh ok i thought at a certain distance the narrowband would do much thats why, sorry...

vxhybrid 04-14-2009 08:40 PM

no prob... we learn by asking...

hard2obtain 04-14-2009 09:58 PM

He is asking for a "WIND BAND" not a Wideband, he can put his WIND BAND whatever he wants lol

WBO2 should be more than a certain distance from the turbo outlet because of heat issues, but people have had success having it right at the outlet. Under no condition is a narrow band better than a wideband, ever.

none of that was even relevant to what the guy was asking

Ohh, I re-read it. Is your narrow band heated? It can take longer to respond the further away it is from the turbo outlet if it is not heated.

Also, don't bother with a narrow band.

+1 haha

Also you can use the narrow band now if ur on a budget.

Save a couple checks, go wideband. My plan.

Widebands are the only way to go.

Eat a dick. His tune doesn't like the narrow band. Any decent wideband can simulate a narrow band while giving you actual information. My narrow band gave me 2 lights in the "rich" section for a full pull. After getting a wide band I found I was as rich as 9.5:1 and as lean as 13.8:1 over the same rev range. Narrow band can kiss my ass.
