na tuning with uberdata?

ok so im probably not going to be turbo for a while but i want to practice tuning with either turboedit or chrome. first is it possible or even logical? and if so what kind of gains would be expected. any help or experiance would be appreciated.

I was thinking of doing the same. Sure it's possible. As far as gains? I would imagine that on say a d16z6 you could probably pick up 5-10 HP by adjusting timing, and fuel slightly. Timing changes would yield the most response N/A cause stock ECUs are programmed for shitty gas and have conservative timing.

why is this in FI? it should be in engine management.

5-10 is really pushing it. I did it with BRE just to check some stuff out and to make a little extra torque in the lower rpm's on my b16. Don't expect much.

Sounds like a pretty damn good idea! Go for it. Tune a couple stock cars, you'll get pretty slick at it and then tuning boost will be easier.

I went on a tuning session with Fook. We were tuning a B20-VTEC Ek hatchback. There was a big noticible difference between it runnning on stock map and after tuning.

sure why not seems that it would make it easier of a transition from na to fi

my friend used crome to tune his z6 and picked up 15 whp and thinks theres more but he's not to worried about it. but the only reason he did it to begin with was to tune for a 75 shot. but he did pick up 15 hp. im sure it helped that he has a dyno in his garage but ya know.
