My weekend partial install.(Part 2-DONE!)

Finally got to work on my turbo setup over the weekend. Only did a partial install since I am doing this by myself. It's a greddy 15g/manifold which I got it cheap. Here is some pic of the install.

I made this copper gasket fits nicely.

Here is the turbo slap on.

exhaust wrap up.

This is my experiment for a "turbo oil cooler" will be instal infront of the radiator. Will see how it works. :P

Intercooler shot, I painted shark teeths. HAHHAHA.. Flamers SCREW U!!
http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MXk1NDE%3D.jpg

After grinding and cutting of the grill, it fits perfect now.

So now I have to drop the oil pain, slap the return oil fitting and make the charge pipe and blow off valve. As for fuel managment? I will go with a FMU now. Will take more pic next week once its complete.

Thanks :)

Yeah, thats the idea "cooling the oil before going into the turbo". ;D Like I say, it's just an experiment.

I don't think i could survive efficiently without my compressor... (tear)

Nice set up man, that oil cooler is gonna be a clean install from the looks of things.

But the intercooler, i'd paint the whole thing black or leave it the way it is but that is pretty funny, and i'm sure several people will think its funny too, well.. at first.

I'm thinkin... you need a tail on the back ;) j/k.

Re:My weekend partial install.

It's a 5" Tyrus FMIC, I got it with his Money order deal for 175 shipped.

Eventually I will spray the whole intercooler black. Just for laughs I painted the shark teeths. :P

I will take more pic's and update this post this weekend.

Re:My weekend partial install.

Well, finally finish my with this project and boosting ;D. Well, to continue I started the oil return, by dropping the oil pan and drilling hole and some grinding. And installing all the charge pipes and the blow off valve. Pictures speaks for itself. enjoy.

I use teflon tape to seal the threads and use thread lock to hold it in place and tighten the bitch out of it, so ---- won't move at all. ;D

Here is the final product, I must say it's pretty clean.

I brazed this aluminum adapter for the TurboXS RFL blow off valve.

left side of the charge pipes.

right side of charge pipes, I use the Egay CAI pipes and it work fine.

Here it is finally done!!

I have one questions about the RFL blowoff valve. Does this stay open up when the car idles? I mean I put all 6 washers in there and it still opens up when idles. Is this normal? Or do I have to use a smaller diameter vacuum hose? Beside that I still have to slap on the boost gauge and minor stuff to iron out.

Re:My weekend partial install.(Part 2-DONE!)

Thanks, It's a Greddy 15g turbo and manifold. I got everything piece by piece from this site and in hondatec and other retailers. Total cost of this project set me back about $680. So, it's good idea to shop around or just low ballz when you asking for price of a item. hahha. (you might get lucky) :P

Re:My weekend partial install.(Part 2-DONE!)

You got the FMU, BOV, FMIC, 15g, Manifold, Oil Cooler, and pipping for a total of $680?????

Hey I think you have my impact! :o 2135Ti? I've got the 1/2" and 3/8... they're purdy (drools)

Re:My weekend partial install.(Part 2-DONE!)

i have an imitation turbo xs rfl bov looks just like yours and it's closed on idle. stretch out the spring and clean off that thick grease it has inside, it gets sticky with heat and your bov will flutter. lube it with motor oil.
