hi, i'm new to this site, i just found this site this morning when i was information about T3 turbo. So i'll present myself and my turbo project.
My name is Maxime, and i'm from Quebec in Canada, i'm studying in mecanic ingenering at the Polythecnique of Montreal. I own a 1995 black golf Gl with a 1.9 td engine who develope 75hp at the flywheel and 102 lb-ft of torque stock. I can do easily around 800km per tank with my golf lol.

for those who read that WTF!!!!! 75hp at the flywheel..... hu.... what do you want to do with this... lol check bellow.

ok the car look stock and i want to keep it like this, the only thing i'll put on the exterior will by paint and a jetta front end swap. I just want to specify that this project is a "low cost project" beacause i'm in university and cash doesn't flow a lot lol...

sorry, i don't have pics of the complete engine. but anyway, this is not the nicest engine bays eva lol

if you can see the wasted gated is set to the end of the rod lol....

so now what i've donne yet on this car:
i have rebuilded injector with 1.6 GTD nozzles (from germany)
i put a 1.6td boost pin and pump cover (tu have a better air fuel mixture)
i ajuste the wasted gate of my K03 turbo
i set the fuel pump to provide a lot more diesel to the engine.
i just put 4 bilstein shock to stick more on the road

i'm running 22 psi peak in summer and now 12 psi with the fuel pump ------- low
so this result that my diesel can spin till third gear lol.
i beated,
a golf mark3 1.8 L
a mark3 GTI 2.0L
i was side to side with a mazda mx6 v6
a civic si 90 modded (dunno what but nothing extreme)
and other standard civics (sotck)
i killed corolla (even at 12 psi lol)
in seconde gear, a carrera try to overpass me and she just can't lol, never understand why
i was like one car and a half behind a golf vr6 supercharged (230hp) on the 1/8 miles. (a bit unfair lol)

enought with the hall of fame.
we estimated that my car developpe near 115 hp at the wheels and near 180 lb-ft of torque.

My next summer projects:
install a biger turbo T3


a front mount intercooler (i have no one now )

and reajusting the fuel pump for that air
a straight pipe exhaust to ear the turbo spool the hell
front end swap with a jetta of the same generation.

That is my project, any comment are welcome.

It's nice, not too many boosted diesels, much less VWs.

Everything looks good, you should talk to Ravage70, g_shok and labatt50, they're the resident quebec/montreal guys on HMT.

thats cool i like the front end swap idea......maybe a motor swap instead....cause even turbo thats gonna be slow...........you havent got any nasty reply's yet becuase you followed the "unspoken" and spoken directions....post made sence....and had pics...i like you already.......so if everyone starts flaming on you and ---- they are just showing some hmt love......

i won't swap t'ill i finish university, and then i'll swap for a 1.9tdi engine and put a vnt 20, big injectors, fmic, unitronic chip, custom clutch and make the body safe for 200whp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Like i said before, this 1.9td is a low budget project because i'm still in university. My next project will probably be a 2.0l 16v-t in a mk2 GTI and keep my diesel car for daily driving.

I,m here to learn about turbo setup and be able to plan better how should i do my projects

Diesel!!! Up that boost man. Diesel can't lean detonate. Boost, Boost, Boost!!! Car looks good too.

Looks like a good little project to warm up on.I really want to see someone go to town on a 1.9tdi I think you could get more than 200whp if you really went for it.
