Hey whats up, i know none of you really know me but i used to surf this board long long time ago and i recently came back...after alot of time of gather parts i turbocharged my bastard b20a5 motor in my 89 prelude SI. This whole setup is homemade and ghetto like there is no tomarrow but i dont care what it looks like cause its great. Everything here is off a DSM. The manifold, turbo, o2 housing, bov, intercooler. i meen everything is from a dsm even the charge pipes...im going to fix the tight bend in the lower charge pipe tomarrow morning cause it concerns me but this thing is awesome. all my knowledge of turbo's came from this site so thanks for all the help guys. Im running the turbo right off the o2 housing so its really loud but i love it. The turbo spools up at 2600 rpms and pulls hard all the way to 6750 redline, i know i dont have the best motor ever manufactured or i know its not vtec and i know its not a civic/motor/car but damn boost is nice, this is my first turbo'd car and i love it.

ps. i fixed the tight bend in the lower intercooler pipe...had to cut a trim it a bit....i think my turbo is bad though...its smoking like a son of a gun and terribly bad....i need to make a bigger drain tube and smaller feed line.

 

ps...just to let u know...ive got less than 100 bucks into this whole setup

u can only see one pic?....mm...strange...ill fix the pics later on. im boosting 8psi...other members on preludepower.com have been boosting the b20a5 motor to 12psi with a good tune. some guys had there's up to 14 & 15 at the track....anything more than that is just crazy though...stock rods arent the greatest and speaking since i have a 95mm stroke on the crank, i can only go to 7k rpms and if i keep going past that it will eventually spin a rod bearing, but hey its got mad torque so i love it.
