-FMIC big one aluminum core
-dsm 450cc injectors
-HKS ssqv. BOV
-tial style wastegate
-blitz turbo timer

looks fine

"tial style wastegate"- i'm assuming you're talking about the ones on ebay from ssautochrome (he goes under many other names also, so yes, it's coming from him), just spend the extra money and get a real tial, i heard these knock offs suck ass :-\

"oil lines"- if they're not coming from stealth mode, i would change those too.

"fmic" - as long as you're getting it from www.speedpartsrus.com you're fine

everything else looks good, should be a nice set up ;D

you just need the first one on the page (30x6.5 i think) with centered tanks with top brackets. he just had a group buy for them in the classifieds, and i almost guarantee (this happens everytime there is a group buy), that someone bought one and couldn't afford it, and will put it up for sale as soon as they get it......

really?? well that's good news i guess, i've seen a few thread where people said they were ----, maybe the were just mad b/c they didn't know "sty" meant style and they were expecting a real tial to show up????

Re:my turbo list, should i change anything? or add?

Ive heard they dont work well......for the extra $40 i would just buy a real tial.

FullRace Mani=just buy a lovefab SST.......i dont know what your goals are to even need such a heavy duty expensive mani, but the SST is the same thing but like $300 cheaper

I'm not saying its impossible, but i hope you have a good tuner to do 10psi on a B18c1, i would hate to see such a nice engine blow up

KAOS 01-22-2004 01:52 PM

Re:my turbo list, should i change anything? or add?

i just wanted a really good mani. and ive told that fullrace mani's are just that!! but if i can save money!! thats good!

on the tuning point. i'm going to be the one doing all that. since no one around here where i live knows anything about anything. plus i i have no clue what i'm doing. but i'll learn. hopefully!! so i'm expecting to blow it up! i have a B18a sitting here. just for that reason!!! but i just might use the B18a instead so that if i blow my engine up(which is expected so i'm not worried about it). i blew up a cheaper engine!!!

Re:my turbo list, should i change anything? or add?

well, if you're gonna be tuning it yourself, and don't know much about tuning, you better get a wb02!! and start reading the engine management forum religiously ;D

Re:my turbo list, should i change anything? or add?

well, the guy who is chipping my ecu. is tuning it also! and he just told me. that i don't need to do nothing. except that i would have to adjust the wastegate, BOV, and turbo timer myself. i believe thats what he said!?!

is that true?
thanks

oh, whats a wb02?

well, somewhat. he prolly/hopefully, burned you a .bin on the chip that would run a little rich (safe), but, once the chip is burned, unless you have the software that he used to write it, and a chip burner, you can't tune it any more, and you'll never be able to turn up your boost or get the best a/f ratio possible. it's better to have you're ecu socketed (you can remove and replace chips out of the socket), and buy a chip burner, and use turbo edit software (free), that way you'll be able to tune it better. i'm sure there is a dyno with tuning capabilities somehere near you, you may just not know about it. a wbo2 (wide band 02 sensor), digitally displays you a/f ratio (the whole point of tuning), so that you know exactly how rich or lean you're running. it sounds to me like you need to start reading the "engine management" section, you'll save yourself a lot of money, and a lot of headaches if you study some of that stuff.........

Re:my turbo list, should i change anything? or add?

to expect to blow up a b18c1 is just wrong. Tuning isnt that difficult, there is just no room for error on an engine with that high of compression. If the guy you are tuning w/ does not have a wideband(device to accurately display A/F) or a Knocksensor(tells detonation) find another person to tune your ECU. The knock sensor isnt nearly as important as the Wideband. DO NOT TUNE YOUR CAR WITH OUT A WIDEBAND!!!!

Re:my turbo list, should i change anything? or add?

thanks guys! yeah the ecu will be socketed. so that i can do what you mentioned. once i learn a thing or two!!

reading the fuel managment section is. like reading a foriegn language!! but i have been trying though!!
thanks again!

yeah, for the most part, it's foreign to me, but you get the basics after a while, enough to burn a base map and drive your ass to the dyno to get it tuned anyways ;)

well i've decided that i'm not going to boost my B18c1. until i do my homework on engine managment!!
thanks for all the help! it's time to learn a new language ;)!!

wooooooooo, that was close, we almost lost that b18c1 to detonation, that will be one more healthy boosted b series on the streets ;D

yeah, but not as good as the cca (the above mentioned link), he also has a banner at the top of this website, it says CCA on it though, not "speedpartsrus". the ones from cca use a 2.75 inch thick core as opposed to a 2 inch (johnny race car, a.k.a. "tyrus"), and the tyrus i.c.'s don't have a plate on the top and bottom of the core, cca's do, it's worth the extra money to get the cca i.c. and they are really good people also........

no! customcoach is the best! end of conversation :-X

Re:my turbo list, should i change anything? or add?

i think he's kind of new here, he prolly thinks you're talking about someone totally different. ;D

cca = custom coach of america, or www.speedpartsrus.com

johnny race car = tyrus
