My turbo kit has officially begun!! :) :)

Just got my first piece to the puzzle,
a 3rd generation rx7 intercooler.
the core is about 1' by 5" by 2.5"

its got plastic endtanks, but they're shaped really nicely.
I like how its not very long, but pretty wide, so the charge air doesnt have far to travel, but still has alot of cooling surface area.

Now I do have a question. The inlet/outlet are about 2"
so should I make my charge piping all 2" also? or would wider be better? I think 2.5" would be the biggest I'd get.

My planned setup is a 14b turbo, with dsm BOV, on a d15b7
running about 6-7psi

UPDATE

ok I actually got out a measuring tape(hehe)
the ACTUAL dimensions are

11.6" x 2.5" x 4.5"

and 2.5" inlet/outlet!! so I guess its 2.5" charge piping for me! Leave it to mazda, they dont mess around when it comes to performance... reliability? thats another story.

2" piping might be better for such a small turbo.

hmm, ok, anyone else have any input onthis ?

I'm under the impression that out of the "tiny turbos"
the 14b is alittle bigger, and pulls alittle harder?

so maybe 2.5" would actually be good?
