Default my ---- is still smoking... any other ideas

ive been battling a smoky rig since i put my ------- turbo on.. it doesnt smoke all the time, when its warm and when the turbo is making boost. first i reworked the oil drain with some silicone ---- so it didnt kink, then i tried the oil restrictor (the handle kind but mine was from homo depot) that didnt fix it so i swapped the turbo for a known working one and now its still smoking. compression is 190 190 180 190. i guess its the valve seals? its eating oil like something fierce. like a qt a day

The drain is below the output of the turbo, right? Try an Autometer Nitrous/Fuel pressure Restrictor, i'm running two, yes two, on my feed line, one out of the block, one before the turbo.

yea its like 3" or so but you know how those hf manis sit. i got the ball valve restrictor with the handle on there and it didnt do anything. i dont know how it could be the engine because it didnt smoke before i put the turbo on and if you want to blame it on the turbo beating the engine it has good compression. and i dont see how the turbo would put wear and tear on the valve seals.. ------- car i dont know

Chill, try ordering one of the restrictors i suggested, they're around $14 shipped, no ball valve guess work. If that doesn't stop the smoking, you're in the same situation as me. And i'm not sure my situation...

I would look to the motor for the cause.

if he had it na b4 and it ran fine, im guessing either too much oil pressure like u said or the turbos ----. actually mines doing this too my comp is 160 ive checked everything and used 2 different heads, now im hooking up a oil pressure gauge to see how much pressure is actually there and fix my drain, hope it works.

Use a smaller ID oil inlet line (like; 3).The line itself will act as a restrictor

needle valve with a gauge.... is that bad? the oil pressure gauge is before the restrictor. the oil line is a -4 an. i guess thats a little large but the ball valve should have backed it down. i can only assume its the motor if its not my oil feed. the drain isnt kinked anymore and it has a decent slope down to the pan. im gonna try doing valve seals and hope that fixes it. if not ill be running non vtak y7 thats in the shed. im gonna post some pics of my oil drain and some knowledgeable folks can tell me if its ok. i got a piece of pipe like 3/4" in the pan and the hose runs level for like an inch. ?
