Default My recent build. 93' SC300

After my bro crashed my SC400 (which was about to go turbo) I ended up parting the car and selling all the turbo stuff I amassed. A little after I ended up buying an SC300 this time. For about 2 months we worked on this thing and knocked out quite a bit of work... During winter, outside in the cold. My garage was full at the time. The car was on its deathbed and we decided to save it.

Mods:

t-61 turbo kit from XSPower
Godfather Dish III Wheels
Tanabe Springs
Custom leather interior

We're still working on a few more things and getting the car painted and all that good stuff. Im mainly waiting on my meth injection kit so we can turn the boost up to 15 PSI.

Looks good. Pre-OBDII is the way to go. Lets us know how the Chinese turbo kit works.

I wish my IS300 was that easy to tune

Yea the OBD-II is no fun to tune unless you go with the AEM standalone. My buddy just finished his 96' SC300 so we're getting ready to tune that.

So far the turbo has been running great and the spool is insane. Full spool is at about 2,500 rpms. Been using the car as my daily so it gives me a chance to do a bit more fine tuning.

I don't think that even qualifies for hmt. That thing is fricken sweet though I love the pic from the front.

HMT is anything you don't buy as a kit. Ideally you weld all your own parts, but not always.

I'd like to know what you've done as far as tuning goes. I'd assume you bought a chip, converted to the turbo wiring/ems, or have some sort of piggyback?

Thanks!

Well my original projects when I first arrived here (94 camry and sc400) were going to be HMT's, they failed misserably since i sold the first car and my bro crashed the other one. After I got the 300 my original plan was again to do a custom HMT but I got a great deal on the kit and couldn't pass it up.

As far as tuning going. Fuel is completely stock and so is the ECU. Right now im using an safcII which does the job fine. I would like to delete the maf eventually and go with the emanage blue again.

I tried an emanage blue without success. For some reason the karman maf hates it.

I didn't do a headgasket but the 2j can handle about 7-11lbs without really breaking a sweat. I plan on adding a meth kit so I can run around 15 psi and eventually I'll upgrade the head gasket.
