Re: My progress, turbo setup! TONS OF PICS!!!!!

hotter air is less dense, you may want to consider runnin the 2 1/4 inch as the intercooler inlet and the 2 inch as the outlet. that way you cool more air.

fastcivicboy 04-26-2005 11:41 PM

Re: My progress, turbo setup! TONS OF PICS!!!!!

the air coming out of the turbo is more hot and condense, once it goes through the intercooler its going to expand be more densful hence running the bigger pipe. The air's cooler now and not compressed. Hope I said it right im very tired right now. -Nick

Hot air is less dense than cold air. See link:

I don't know why everyone is dissing on the wrx turbo. I hit a 13.7 with one in my 98 civic ex @ 9psi on my y8.

That turbo looks more like an old POS VF11 off a legacy turbo - hope it wasn't more than $100. Can you post up the number off it?

Re: My progress, turbo setup! TONS OF PICS!!!!!

To tell you the truth I didnt pay ---- for the turbo, im a hustler man. anyways though I just got my wideband (Innovative lm1) and my moates chip burner. I need to start searching ebay for a cheap laptop. What made me believe the turbo was off of a wrx was because of the triangle flange it has on it. Ive ran this turbo in the past and loved the spool time. With this manifold and downpipe I cant wait to see how fast it spools. Hope it's not going to be to hard to tune though since of all the partial throttle boost that's going to be taking place with this turbo. (such fast spool) I dont know im tired and need sleep. Peace

side note what other car has the ihi rhb5 with the triangle turbo inlet flange??? all the older ihi's are not triangle flanges.
