My junkyard turbo install

My junkyard turbo install
Hey. I've a 90 rt4wd wagon. I beat the ---- out of it on dirt roads. I boosted it awhile ago. I'm pulling it apart to fix several issues: blown headgasket, cooling system, pcv system. I'm also taking out the power steering and charcoal canister(I did it, but the pics are before I did it).
I took a bunch of pics while I have the piecer apart.
hf mani, adaptor plate, 14b turbo.
Stainless oil line, to a T ziptied to firewall, to stainless line looped to block. I ditched the stock oil sensor, and another stainless line goes to a autometer oil pressure gauge.
I have a full 2.5" exhaust. I think the downpipe is pretty damn sexy. Terry at Turbo Terry's in Bellingham, WA gets the credit for the exhaust and charge pipes. I drove it in open dp, NA, but with turbo and fuel all hooked up. I got the downpipe flange from roadraceengineering, and it is beefcake. Autometer EGT probe.
Catco 2.5" Catalytic converter, 2.5" magnaflow(9X14" I think?)
Flexpipe. No flanges or gaskets. It's a pain to drop it( you have to drop the crossmember), but no leaks and less weight.
Charge pipe routing. DSM 1g BOV. 2" piping. There's a dsm side mount intercooler in front of the pass wheel. I forgot to take a pic. It fits really nice. I had to hack some sheet metal to get it to fit right. I didn't take a pic of the turbo to IC charge pipe either. From the turgo, it goes up, 75 degree bend, parallel to the top of the radiator, 75 deg bend, down to the IC. You can barely see the IC coupler right by the unattached rad hose.
oil pan
My friend Steve welded this bung on for me. Looks pretty good.
FMU I'm gonna get 450 injectors, a walbrough fuel pump, and chip the ECU with turboedit soon, though.
Gauges in the glove box. Boost, EGT, Oil press.
My rims.
So the imediate plans are Z6 metal headgasket, ARP headstuds. I'm kinda tempted to find a Y8 intake mani, and maybe LS throttle body.
92-95 automatic civic radiator. Halfsize, dual core. The turbo smacks into the stock one. I originally tapped into the coolant at the throttle body and ran it to the turbo and back. I found that the lines are kinked, so I'm jettisoning that idea. No water to turbo, just oil.
I'd also like to get a after market crossmember. I had to dent the crap out of it to get the turbo and down pipe to fit. Under load the wastegate smacks into it. Not sweet. I don't really like the idea of cutting it, and making the car weaker as I add power. Also the 92-95 rad is taller that the EF's. So you either need to cut the hood or the crossmember. I"m gonna take a welding class at the technical school. Maybe cutting and reinforcing the CM will be my project.
I had the PCV and valve cover breather going to a catchcan with a little filter on top.. under boost, you'd get heavy blowby fumes in the car. No good. Now that the power steering is out, I've got room to run a little elbow for the air filter, with a steel pipe with a little bung on it, that I'm going attached the pcv line to. This way the pcv will ALWAYS see vacuum, and the harder the load the more vacuum, which is supposed to help the piston rings seal better. And, no more gas and oil fumes!
I'm keeping the power steering rack, and am going to loop the lines with a little open reservoir.
I'll update this with more pics a I get to it. When I get I back together, I'll get some pics out in the sun. Maybe an action shot or two.

Re:My junkyard turbo install
Thanks, guys. I kind of want to build the most badass 4wd civic wagon, IN THE WORLD. Not really too unattainable, considering hardly anyone hooks them up.
Fine tooth hole saw. Cost like $7.
Gotta represent NY! In WA, people do not know how to handle traffic. Seattle is ridiculous. Vancouver, B.C. is the worst. Traffic is so slow, yet people leave so much room between cars? I don't get it.
I surgically disect that ----. Find the holes.
It used to drive me nuts.
"Buddy, you're in the passing lane, and you're not passing anybody!"
I'm definitely mellowing out, now that I've been out here 5 years. Last time I drove in NY, I was like "whoa, the roads are so narrow, and everybody is going so fast, and everybody is so close together! I'm a'skerd!"
About Vancouver: You know the "bad driver" stereotypes:
Women.
Asians.
Old People.
Vancouver is full of the "trifecta bad driver" Old,asian, women. You just cannot count on the person in front of you on an onramp, to actually merge. I have almost rearended retards a couple of times, when I'm looking over my shoulder for holes in traffic to merge to, and they are braking to a complete stop! WTF! Onramps are for merging, not parking!
Sorry, rambling. Got a li'l carried away.
