No, never did, but if I was building and getting a blockguard I'd upgrade.

Damn i didn't know would get so many negitive responses. I know the built block with a t25 and hf mani is a bit over kill, but the way i was looking at things is it that i would be better off building it while the motor is out the car, and so down the road when i get some funds u could upgrade turbo's and mani later.

BTW, i think i may be able to get some good power out of the t25 if i push it.

What about engine management??

Maybe that's why he's got a block guard.. to hold the motor together while he runs the stock ECU with the 440s and stock fuel pump.

If youve gotten used to n/a cars, then yes you will make "good" power

You don't want to push the limits of your turbo. Put it in its operating range and I think you would get more power than pushing hot air through it.

AHAHAHAHA! Pushing the limits of a T25?! That's like entering a stock Pinto in a WRC event. I have much hate for the gay little t25's being a DSM guy. They are horrible at anything over 15psi and even at stock boost they don't even hold it till redline. If they're pushed they ------- give up too and then you have a nice paperweight which isn't much better than a good t25. I would seriously consider an electric turbocharger before a t25 rofl. Even a tiny TD04H 13g off the 1G automatics will outflow and perform the t25 and it'll spool almost identical.

Your best bet is to sell that t25 to someone who doesn't know how bad they suck and invest in a real turbo. Even a 14b is FAR superior to the gay little bastard t25. You could upgrade it to a bigT28, but for that price you can get a 16g which will actually be worth building your motor for. If you want to buy a 14b, 16g, 18g, or 20g for a nice price you can pm me and I'll set you up. I have 14b's, an 18g, and a pair of 20g's available right now and if you want to wait a couple weeks I'll have a pair of rebuilt E316G's as well.

I 12th the vote to get a different turbo. Even an 8v d15 can spool a 60 trim T3 fine. Just sell the gaurd and t25, then get at least a 14b for the time being, or better yet get a dsm 16g of some variety.

BTW sizing a turbo by 'thinking' it will work well when pushed is like 'thinking' a certain girl will love to have you stick your had down her pants. There's that 1 in 10000 chance she'll get all hot and bothered, but more than likely she'll kick you in the nuts and have her boyfriend beat you shitless.

Other than that, it looks like a good HMT setup, a common setup known to work. Great daily driver ----. :y
