dude, just buy a johnnyracecar or a cca or something. Hell or check ebay. They're cheap as hell on there, and you can get a nice new fmic. as far as stock intercoolers, maybe u could try a starion/conquest fmic, or a dsm smic. they'd work okay.

well for a daily driven car you want the most cooling possible, while a side mount off a dsm would most likely work fine for your aplication and amount of money you want to spend. but i would highly recomend a front mount type, such as a CCA, Johnyracecar, LSD motor sports, tunnertoys yada yada yada.. they can be found in iether the For Sale section or in the HMT Sponsors page, and the prices are a great deal!

Im doing the same thing as you right now and I have a d16y8 I've pieced together some cheap parts so far. The best way to go is probably what the other guys say if you want to spend the money on your kit. I myself would go the cheap route since you can find many quality items off ebay. The starion fmic is a nice, cheap alternative to the expensive ones. You can use a sidemount also but it won't be seen as much in the front of the car. (Maybe you want that.) You can find some starions right now on ebay for about 40-65 dollars vs. 150+ for the new ones. DSM sidemounts can be found even cheaper at a local junkyard. Ultimately it's up to you and your wallet.
