looks nice. great job.
Does you car come stock with the black bumpers? |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
looks like an audi s4 or a4
|
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
dude i love it! thats a super hmt setup right there. i think the car would look better if you sprayed all the black bumpers and moldings red. just my opinion
love the euro -Luke |

yeah they come whit that those black bumpers and sideskirts, i think it sucks and will have it sprayed in the same color of the car. dont know why they did those bumpers, the 97 models have the bumpers in the same color of the car and it looks so mutch better! the car was bulit in england, in rovers factory, thats why itīs not so common outside europe.
but the car runs well and i will have it dynoed after i have the fuel setup instaled. hope for 150-160hp. stock is 90hp |

Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
The headlights remind me of late 90's Subaru Legacy's and the half painted bumper is weird. It's HMT to the fullest but that no management thing is :X
|
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
AHHH i just saw that!!! no fuel management?!!! stock injectors stock ecu?? :l :l
your asking for trouble there dude big time. get some management ASAP also, i just watched your video. it looks like your oil drain is a good 45* off from 6oclock. your oil drain should be pointing straight to the ground. this allows for maximum efficiency. if its clocked too much ( i typically hear no more than 30* off from straight down) you'll result in oil starvation. my buddy killed his t3 turbo this way. had it clocked a lil too much. rotate that center section asap -Luke |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
i know, but my goal is to blow i anyway, have a z6 in my garage that im going to put in it, and also i donīt have a job so i cant aford a fuelmanagement programe right now but a fmu and fuelpump is coming soon.
about the t3 turbo i know the oil drain is f* and is about 45*, and i can't rotate the center beacuse the the wastegate wont fit then. this is my first hmt so of course things will be f* and since i live in sweden i cant get the same parts that you guyes have at your junk yard and turbostuff dealers |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
You can rotate it, I was looking at your pics and It looks like if you loosen you v-band flange and it will spin, Then you will need to rotate hte compressor side witch is probably a large snap ring. If you dont have snap ring pliers then you can grind down a pair of Needle-Nose Pliers. It looks like a chrysler turbo, like a TDO4. Check out this link https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=13035.0
Then get some sort of mangement system. OR you will blow it up for shure. |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
tnx! i will look in to it. and i will get a fuelmanagement system soon
|
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
haha np man. all hmt setups need some improvement. if you rotate both the compressor and exhaust housings together you wont have to worry about the wastegate. basically you just want the center cartridge(with oil feed and drain holes) to rotate
yah even the fmu is better than nothing i guess goodluck -Luke |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
Your turbo gonna blow because it's not clocked right and running with no managment is just retarded, even if you are trying to blow the motor.
The right way to blow a motor is from too much hp, not from too much deto. |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
the gare is in my garage now and the turbo is off and ready to be fixt. thanx guyes!
going whit an fmu and walbro 255 undtil i can get my hands on some good management, found a greddy piggyback for about 500. does anyone have some feedback on the greddy system? |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
spend the $250 and get a chipped ecu with driving tuning
|

Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
the engine a d14a2 aint worth a ---- in sweden, and the ecu is not of the ordinary type, dont know if itīs a obd1 or obd2, have looked every where to find out what obd i have, yes i could switch to an p28 ecu, i have one but a funny thing is that only 2 of the 3 connectors to the ecu fits, and converison harnests to my car are no where to be found beacus itīs an uk model. and i dont know anything about chipbrurning and stuff, are trying to learn but aint a fast learner.

Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic

Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
Isn't that a Honda Domani 92-95?
Looks good! |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
itīs a Honda civic MA8. made in the Uk for the european market made from 95 to 96. in 97 they changed the front bumper and lights and the model code for them is MB1-7. the MA models came whit the 1.4=66kw, 1.5 vtec-e=66kw and the 1.6-vtec=92kw engines. the MB models came whit the 1.4=66kw, 1.5-vtec-e=115hp and the b18c4=1.8-vtec=169hp....

Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
so now i have driven this setup for a 1000km and i must say that it turned out realy good :D. no problem what so ever whit this setup.
its my daily drive so i use it every day. the little 1.4 D14a2 pulls pretty good, :(the bad thing is that my cars wheight is about 1300-1400kg and it would be better whit a lighter car :P |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
the only honda that reminds me of is the 1st gen Honda Odessy mini van the 1996-98 ones it looks like it just a sedan

|
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
oyeah, my honda is english mate!:P for now im not putting my money on the d14 anymore, i just started to take apart and i will rebuild my d16z6 whit stronger rods, pistons, valves, springs, retainers. ect ect.. the z6 is my first building projekt and it will probably take me a lot of time to get it done, but you got to learn some time...

Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
A new update on the car.
The turbo setup is still running 0.3 bar on stock engine whit no fuelmanagement :6. the d14a2 has been boosted for 4000km now, and i drive it daily. the most recent modification is the missing link from synapse that i bought of ebay. so now i dont have to watch that ------- enginelight any more ;D the next upgrade is to change the headgasket, headstuds, fuelpump. instal a progressive fuelpressureregulator. mabye a vafc whit new injectors |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
good to see you around again.
if you get the vafc you won't need the missing link or fpr. are those headlight nozzles? |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
thanks whitrice.
yeah i know, but i still dont now when i can afford a vafc or new dsm injectors. just goot out of school and just got my job. so the missinglink was i good investment for now. just want to choke that ------- engine light ;D dont know what you mean whit"nozzles" ??? im from sweden you know :S |

Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
What are those things on the bumper in front of the headlights.
they look like nozzles to spray the headlights. |

Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
just got two cold start injectors from saab, that im going to mount on my ic pipes. picked up a pressure sensor also from a saab. the pressure sensor is adjusteble so i can sett the injectors to start at any level of boost.
hope it works |
Re: My first HMT, on my "euro" civic
I have seen turbo dodge guys do this but I do not have any personal experience with this but I hear it works with limited results (like alot of other ---- out there)
