My Dodge Shadow ES (holy ---- huge images batman)

Re: My Dodge Shadow ES (holy ---- huge images batman)
my '94 3.3 caravan died from the flexplate cracking around the hub, spinning, & throwing the balance way off & eventully snapping the crank snout off with the harmonic damper...after about 20K, & it actully still ran, but had no accesory drive
i wish i knew what the noise was earlier, cuz i had a spare good flexplate, but the crack was hidden behind the shim that all the bolts go thru, so i didn't see it during the trans swap
i beat the ---- out of that van, other then going thru transmissions (damn diff pin) that 3.3 kept begging for more, i did beat a T1 Omni 5-speed a few times up at the stoplight drags
had just over 203K on it before it went bye bye
pic of the flexplate;

yeah you can really mess thing things up with bad flex plates. If you look around, you could prolly find a 2.2L or 2.5L to drop in it
but today I got unlazy and went outside and installed the shifter, cables and wired up my new Alpine CD player

i don't have it anymore, & i wouldn't put a 2.2 nor a 2.5 in it if i did
3.3 all the way, plus i still have all my speed goodies from it, such as like my ported & milled heads
gonna get another one soon, & not hold back

Installed the shifter cables, pedals (brake and clutch) mmm what else... bought a CV boot for my equal length drive shaft and about to drop in the manual trans. Orderd a new set of bottom end bearings (crank and rods) and a head gasket and I ported the exhaust manifold and next thing on my list is the head and intake manifold
