My Dodge Shadow ES (holy ---- huge images batman)

Re: My Dodge Shadow ES (holy ---- huge images batman)
the dodge vans have the turbo 2.5, not the 2.2
anyways holy ----, wtf did the previous owner do to the car
cheap mod, use a 52mm TB from a 3.3 Caravan> the stock 46 or 48? mm TB
i have 2 of them, one i could sell, but i ain't gonna
& keep the auto trans, you can't launch on boost with a manual, only rpm, with an auto you can build boost on the line & launch harder (providied you got the traction)
look at Gary Donovans 10second reliant, www.thedodgegarage.com he was on the stock bearings/rods/& pistons until the low 11s IIRC, its all about the tuning

My current car is the one you dream of an 87 shelby csx with 68k origional miles, drivetrain has under 3k
mods:
89 turbo 2 rods, new head, rebuilt trans
bleed on the wastegate boost? the gauge pegs at 15psi its the stock shelby one but when dyno'd they said it was at 18 which is impossible unless if the previous owner modded the map sensor
flex fuel injectors
afpr
2.5inch turbo back exhaust
k and n drop in filter
turbo xs type h bov
waiting on turbos unleashed to send me a 6 puck clutch
filled front motor mount
ac taken out
1stage colder plugs
mopar performance stage 2 pcm
I think thats it right now probually missing some things, the car is on the lift at work with the tranny pulled and the oil pump and oil pump intermediate shaft out of it
dyno'd 170hp 215ft lbs of trq. and I think the timing was off a bit(if you want detailed reasons and why its taken apart right now pm me), and the clutch was slipping slightly

but donovan said there is no noticeable gain besides the loss of gas millage with the bigger TB
I would keep the trans, but I did not have a 8 bolt crankshaft so I had to use the 6 it.

I put over 20,000 miles of 15 psi on my old automatic car that had around 130k on it when I sold it and never had one problem out of trans/flywheel/flexplate. I have a buddy who had a turbo van that went 14's no issues with the trans and beat on constantly he also has two spirit rt's that are modded no flywheel issues, my csx has had no flywheel issues. But it did pwn a clutch pretty easily
