My 1990 CRX Si Turbo. Pics and video inside.
 

Hi I found your site and figured i would share my home made turbo set up, The car is a 90 CRX Si, the motor is a D16ZC using scat rods, SRP pistons, ARP studs ect ect you know the drill. The turbo is a big 16 g the manifold is custom made and so are all the pipes. Its currently tuned to 300 whp, In the spring i plan on upgrading the 450s for some 750s and swapping in a 18g with tubular o2 housing and shooting for around 350 whp. any way i will let the pics speak for them selves and answer any questions you may have. The car ran mid 12s last year at 110 mph spinning the slicks threw first really bad when it was making 250 ish whp. so i am looking for low 12s out of this set up and then solid 11s when i make the turbo upgrade. here is a video i made a while back when i was trying to get my boost by gear feature working in my hondata s300.

Thanks guys, I am near williamsport PA, i race at beaversprings drag way. The tranny that came with the car grinded 3rd so bad it often made me have to skip to 4th when i raced, but it has a mint 89 Si tranny in it now so third gear works great.

HAHA i know i know it is a little low,but at least it isnt slammed, most people complain about having to get in and out of it since its so low, I actually wanted to lower it a tad more but my slicks rubbed, so right now its set at a height that looks good and clears my slicks :) i dont get a whole lot of blow by, my rings and every thing are pretty fresh still. last time i checked i had less then 2 ibs difference cranking PSI between all 4 cylinders.

Its out of a UKDM CRX some say they are called the EDM CRX, either way the best way to find them is on ebay, then you have to haggle the selling as much as you can since they fetch a pretty penny. i managed to talk the guy i bought this one from down to 250.00 shipped from the UK.

If you want square have a look at a dodge omni of the older gen 1 CRX the 90 CRX like i have was actually designed in a wind tunnel by honda to be very aero dynamic. I think he was looking at the way the hatch squares off at the back, the fronts on are very aerodynamic. thanks for looking in.

well, actually I was an aw11 owner before and I have no problems with squarie lines, but I mean those things are pretty damn high/tall for their lenght which makes them look even squarier.

are you familiar with the milton/northumberland area? just out side of sunbury and shamokindamn. do you own a turbo car near by? so far i have not found any one any where around me with another boosted honda, or a car with a turbo that wasnt boosted from the factory for that matter.

I've got a 97 Civic Ex running a T3 turbo. The engine is out right now. Rebuilding it with Vitara's and Eagle Rods. How is the track at Beaver Springs?

I been racing at beaver for around 15 years now, its my home track so i love it. its a pretty good place to race.
they open in 3 weeks or so, and i cant wait.
