To much oil in turbo?
Ok started up my bike just after installing my scavenge pump for the return line. I have like a 1/4 line on the turbo it smokes a little still and will have little oil run out of exhaust when shut it down. I didn't ride it because so much oil in there. What would be the best way to restrict the oil feed. Its an Airreasearch T25 of a 89 saab 900.

Re: To much oil in turbo?
with a restrictor. i think you would need more than 1/4" for the drain also

Re: To much oil in turbo?
agreed^^
If you blew the seal, then a restrictor isnt going to help, you will need to rebuild it. but if that is the first time you started it up, it might be ok, then again 19yr old turbos might not take it well |
Re: To much oil in turbo?
I have plans to rebuild anyways. I have a 1/2 return. Where do I get a restrictor and what size should I get I don't want to starve the turbo. That would be ugly when bike ats 13k.

Re: To much oil in turbo?
if your seals are ok that restrictor with a better drain will fix your problem

Re: To much oil in turbo?
i cant get a better drain 1/2 inch line and a shurflo pump pumping oil out of turbo. But after 6 feet of hose it loses just enough pressure to not quite get it all.
