well i was planning on running a small intercooler but you dont think i need it? also what do i need to get it tuned in properly i have an a/f gauge and a fuel tuner already
an intercooler will help but if your boosting 6psi or less then its not required. in order to tune it properly you will need a tuner with a dyno. your stock injectors will only be able to add so much extra fuel. stock fuel system and injectors should be able to support 6 psi boost. any more and it will be time to upgrade.
well if i dont need a cooler and i can be at 6 psi i should only need a turbo a blowoff piping and a dyno then huh?
youll need exhaust modifications, boost piping, bov, wastegate(if using a turbo without an internal wastegate. turbo oil feed supply, turbo oil drain return, misc silicon reducers, an fittings, braided hose, coolant hoses if you have a water cooled turbo, larger injectors if stock injectors cant support 6psi(turbo calculator stated you would need 45# injectors) and most importantly you will need a large set of balls. :)
ugh i really wish i had the cash to do all this RIGHT NOW!!
lol i hear ya!!!!!
what can you tell me a about a turbonetics turbo, part # t-21225? i cant seem to find much info and the seller isnt being real helpful he says its rated for 500hp and it was on a civic with a b16 which i figure is about a t3, he wants 275 for it which i think is a hell of a deal, says its got 5 miles on it
inlet is 2-5/8 and outlet is 1-3/4
if its only 275.00 and its new then i would be very weary. without a compressor map i cant tell you much.
i true garrett, turbonetics, borg warner journal bearing turbo new will cost over 1000.00 so either its a knockoff or something is wrong with it. i would stay away. |
you can also go to the turbonetics site and call/email them and see if they can get you some specs for it.
