Moniter Turbo Temp. ?
How can I moniter the Temp of my turbo so I know if it's getting to hot. Example: So in case for some reason I'm driving and it's not getting oil or enough oil I know when to stop and let it spool down and not drive and bake the turbo. Can I install a EGT gauge sensor in the down pipe as close to the compressor as possible would that work. Or any idea's. If so does anyone know what temp. is too hot and needs the car to spool down. Thanks.

Re:Moniter Turbo Temp. ?
I would think and EGT would take care of that. I have reached around 1350 on mine. :o

1350... holy ---- man thats lean!!
uhm the turbo would fry before u would be able to see the temp change. why not buy a tempature tester and throw it on the turbo.. u can even use a multimeter with a temp probe.. |

Re:Moniter Turbo Temp. ?
um...I don't know about temps after the turbo...but I run 1550-1600 before the turbo (in the exhaust manifold). To me, 13XX degrees is probably pretty reasonable.
