Modifying endtanks

Hi. I might be picking up a starion intercooler unmodified. How hard is it to modify the endtanks so they are side to side? Should I take it to my muffler shop or something? Or can I cut and JB weld it or something? Gosh I'm so ghetto.

Would modifying it be expensive?

Thanks

Right now, I'm going ot be using the side mount IC from a 92 Talon, but, I too will be using the IC from a Audi 5000.. ala-Dan. I used his same setup. Took my machine shop buddies the picutres of Dans and they're making my endtakes and everything off of a core I got for like $50 on eBay.

I don't know yet.. they normally tell me when it's done. ;-D

Heh, I know it's stupid, but they're nice guys, personally, for the job, I don't think I'll pay more than $50.

All they really had to do was cut some peices that I gave them measurements for, and weld them on.

I don't know what they're using. I'm not good with metal fabrication, so I left that up to them. I just stressed to them what it was going to be for, and they said they'd take care of it.

They don't normally do automative stuff, but one of the guys was really interested in my project and wanted to be a part of it. So.. he's the one doing the work.

He made a SEXY adapter plate for my manifold for $40.

I gave him $50 though because it was sucha good job, and he gave it to me the next day.
