Mitsubishi Galant
Anyone know anything about this car? Please email me, a friend felt the boost in my car and now he wants to do a homemade on his mitsu. Its a 2001 mitsubishi galant, auto transmission with the 4 cylinder 2.4 liter engine.
I don't know anything about mitsubishi cars, I'm wondering if the 4 cylinder eclipse exhaust manifolds are boltable to this engine? Does it have a tricky map sensor (can only handle 1 bar signal?) Anything anyone could do to answer questions about this would be greatly appreciated. |
Re:Mitsubishi Galant
its an auto....
mitsu's dont uses MAP's the use a MAS. it meters the are before it goes into the engine/turbo... |
Re:Mitsubishi Galant
try browing these sites for some info/ideas on turboing the 4G64... it seems that it has the same exhaust bolt pattern as the 4G63T so the stock turbo manifold can be fitted in the 4G64... ;)

Re:Mitsubishi Galant
Weren't there come Galants that came AWD and turbo'd? I seem to remember hearing about that..
Possibly research into putting the stock turbo kit on the car? |
Re:Mitsubishi Galant
those were 4g63t's in the galants.. (DSMS) basically the same thing as an eclipse setup.

Re:Mitsubishi Galant

Re:Mitsubishi Galant
Personally, I'd probably peice together the stock kit.. Maybe upgrade the turbo if it's the same motor. (I don't know anything abotu DSMs).

Re:Mitsubishi Galant
1st gen Galant GSX's are missing a turbo.
1st gen Galant vr-4's are ridiculously awesome. I would love to have a 323 GTX, Galant Vr-4, or an all-trac turbo celica. |
Re:Mitsubishi Galant
i would too to have those cars plus a skyline v34 vspecII
