Based on your statement I think you installed it incorrectly. Why did you have to run the car without the MAP sensor?

What type of fuel management system are you using, and how much PSI are you running?

hi im using a vortex fmu for now and running 7psi on a external wastegate but i can never reach 7 psi becouse by the time i have reached 3-4psi the reaches 5.5K and the car goes into limp mode so the max boost ive ever kicked in in is 4psi but its defo sumthing to do wid the missing link maybe thers not enough vacume to open the 1 way valve in the missing link?

When you drove the car without the missing link and the check engine light came on, did you check the code to see if it's related to the MAP sensor? Check the code and if it's a MAP issue, reset the computer by disconnecting the negative battery for a few seconds. Start the car again and see what happen.

The missing link should be connected directly to/or have a hose connected to the same port hole the MAP sensor was connected to on the throttle body. So, unless the valve is defective it should open.
