Whats up every one. I'm new to posting here but I've been reading them for quite some time now. I was curious. Is the "Missing Link" just a machined Check valve or does it have other functions to it than that?

check valve is supposed to have a smother transition to boost right? is it mandatory for a custom turbo kit?

 

Check valves or a missing link are necessary when you aren't running a chipped ECU because the stock ECU cannot read boost or positive manfiold presssure. You are "masking" the boost from the ECU with either of the two.

I ask cause the product info I have found briefly talks about bleedoff for smooth transition of Vac. to Boost. With check valves its either open or closed right. So what the hell are they talking about?

It was an honest question. I have read at least a couple hundred posts on here and "none" of them explain exactly what a missing link is. They all explain why its needed however. I am fully aware of the need to hide boost. I was just asking if maybe the missing link did something other than hiding boost that makes it so much better than a few check valves from the pet store.
Also, if getting called bitch every time I ask a question is going to be the standard, then ban me. I won't fell to bad about it.
