Default MHI 16G wastegate actuator

I've been looking everywhere for a wastegate actuator for my 14b. I finally found one but i'm not positive if it'll fit, length wise. I was also wondering if anyone has bought anything from this place before, when I went to checkout with paypal my computer security center popped up and basically said it wasn't a credible source. thanks.

Yep it will fit, all 14b/16g/20g wastegates are identical, and from that photo its a mitsubishi bracket.. so it should fit fine.

The 16g actuator arms are slightly longer and they absolutely won't bolt directly onto a 14b. You can shim it on the compressor housing to work, but then you've essentially shortened the actuator arm which makes the flapper open under a higher pressure. It's not a big deal if you're wanting to run highish boost, but if you're wanting to run lower boost it won't be good for that. 16G actuators also come set higher than a 14b by a few psi, so coupled with the "shortened" actuator arm you'll be pre-loading your actuator spring and in turn will run higher boost pressure.

Your best bet it just to buy a used 14b actuator for $25 or > and use an MBC to set your pressure. Turbochargers.com has a mixed history. They've been selling the EVO GT 16g which ended up being quite the topic vs the genuine MHI E316G. Their customer service is questionable at best. I personally wouldn't deal with them, but I'm sure they won't outright scam you. Good luck.

I think I have a 14b gate laying around here somewhere.. Found it, it's off a starion. It's yours for 2 dollars more than shipping costs.

The Starion's came with a TC05 12A and a TD05 12b among a few others, but none where a TD05H 14b like the 1G DSM's use. The actuator off a Starion is different.
