Default Mercedes Turbo

How horrible will a Mercedes 300D Turbo be on my d15b7? Its the only turbo i have an i heard some rumors about it today that it will be horrible. Please let me know ASAP my car is scheduled tuesday for plumbing.

I have a 300d turbo and have done some work on the turbo. you can take the wastgate apart and adjust the boost you also might want to make sure the wastegate valve might need to be ground.also its just a t3 and i don't understand why you think its bad

Because people are saying it will take forever to boost. like 7k to make any boost.

on my benz-ola granted it's 3 liters the boost comes on at like 1500 rpms. but it only revs to 4 grand

You're comparing a super high compression diesel to a low compression 4 cylinder gas motor. I don't think his D15 can rev high enough to spool it.

haha... bad choice of turbo but it will work at around 5500

I ain't using it, i could use it cause my motor is 10k rev-compatable. So, but i just went to t25. You know the turbo that falls on its face up top lol
